This course is different from the Team Skills 101 course as it focuses on the individual who takes charge. This person is not necessarily the manager of the team, but an influential team member who can inspire and organize a team's effectiveness in a group setting. Creating a High-Performing Team

Congratulations! You've been assigned a new team to supervise! Before you get into the specifics of how to make the transition, you should learn about the basic fundamentals of taking over a team. What should your first steps be during that awkward transition period? How do you get a group of strangers to rally together as a team to meet or exceed your goals? This course shows new or experienced leaders how to take on a new team, or leaders who wish to re-define their team how to get the group of individuals to work as one unit. Team Nightmares: Dealing with Problems on Teams

As a leader or member of a team, you must deal with people, attain goals, review and solve problems, resolve conflicts, and celebrate successes. Yet sometimes it seems as if the harder you work, the less you accomplish.

"Team Nightmares" addresses everyday examples within teams that create frustration and decrease productivity. Maybe the dynamics of the team have changed because there is a new leader. Maybe everyone seems to be going in a direction, but not the SAME direction. Maybe communication between certain members of the team is at a standstill. This course will address these scenarios and other common situations faced by teams.
